Based in Sitia, Crete, Build My House is a dynamic and innovative engineering firm specializing in architectural design, construction, and any related services. Our office is a creative hub of engineers who work together to complete any kind of project successfully. With a dedication to design and attention to detail, we envision and create inspiring spaces that meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations.
Timeline
1973
Popi Datseri, an Architectural Engineer of NTUA, and George Nikolaidis, a Civil Engineer of AUTH, founded the “Nikolaidis-Datseri Technical Firm”. The firm undertook and conducted numerous studies on behalf of private and public organizations. Among the public sector projects were the redevelopment of Spinalonga, the port of Sitia, school buildings, and the redevelopment of public spaces.
1997
George Nikolaidis passes away.
2003
Manolis Nicolaides, Civil Engineer of DUTH, joins the firm. He undertakes topographic and structural studies and supervises building projects. At the same time, he participates as a public works designer in studies of school facilities, redevelopment of public spaces, as well as the construction of new buildings.
2007
Manolis Spanoudakis, Civil Engineer TE, joins the firm’s staff. He undertakes the mapping and issuing of building permits, and he deals with the support of all the firm’s studies.
2011
Poppi Datseri retires after a 41-year career in architecture and construction.
2017
Lampros Tsikalakis, an Architectural Engineer of DUTH, is the firm’s new member. He undertakes architectural studies for new buildings, the layout of existing buildings, and the decoration of interiors and exteriors.
2023
“Build My House” was founded by Manolis Nikolaidis, Manolis Spanoudakis, and Lampros Tsikalakis.
