Specialized studies
Hydrological study
The hydrological study usually accompanies the hydraulic study for delineating or regulating a stream. The study involves identifying the watershed of a stream to determine its hydraulic flow.
Hydraulic study
The hydraulic study of a stream involves determining the flood lines of a watercourse in the cross-section under consideration. To carry out the hydraulic study, the hydrological and topographical study must be carried out first. After all the data has been collected and the appropriate calculations have been made, the deliverable is the contour, topography, and cross-sections of the stream in the area under consideration.
